WARD 5 CITIZENS FOR WORKFORCE HOUSING

ST. MARTIN’S APARTMENTS

A Welcoming and Diverse Community

FACT SHEET

Background

St. Martin’s Catholic Church has been serving the spiritual and community needs of Ward 5 residents for more than 100 years. An extension of this historic service is the provision of workforce housing for working families and individuals who are contributing to the fabric of the District’s economic life. To this end, we’ve joined with Catholic Community Services (CCS) in proposing to build a $28 million, 184 unit workforce and affordable housing complex, St. Martin’s Apartments, on land we own at T and Summit Streets NE. We need the community to support St. Martin’s Apartments, as we labor to bring quality workforce housing to the District.

● Mixed-income apartments for families and individuals of diverse income levels.

● 134 one and two bedroom apartments that will rent between $869 and $1,039 per month
